On 13 December 2023, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and the World Health Organization (WHO) published ISSN2415-1173, a report on the assessment of certain food allergen thresholds. The main contents include:

(1) The food allergens involved include some nuts (Brazil nuts, macadamia nuts, pine nuts), celery, mustard, buckwheat, etc. The threshold values of some allergens are shown in the attached table;

(2) In addition to the global priority allergens designated by FAO/WHO, such as walnuts, peanuts and eggs, the Codex Committee on Food Labelling (CCFL) also organized the evaluation of the reference dose (RfD) of the specific food allergens covered in this report;

(3) The purpose of the assessment is to minimize the possibility of any clinically relevant objective allergic reaction.
