On January 11, 2024, the Ministry of Agricultural Policy and Food of Ukraine issued regulations on jams, jellies, jams and sweet chestnut purees, which came into force six months after their publication. Main contents:
(1) Terms and definitions of various products;
(2) The name of the label food indicates the name of the fruit used from high to low according to the quality score of the fruit used; If three or more fruits are used, the name may be replaced by "fruit mixture", etc., the fruit content is expressed as "made from fruit per 100g of food (in grams)", and the total sugar content is expressed as "total sugar content per 100g (in grams)";
(3) The amount of fruit required for the production of jam with different quality levels per 1000g (such as ordinary quality: 160g cashew nut, 60g passion fruit; Extra grade: 230g cashew nut, 80gg passion fruit, etc.
(4) When producing ordinary quality jam, jelly, non-citrus jam, and sweet chestnut puree, the fruit, pulp, and fruit puree can be heated, cooled, freeze-dried, and processed with sulfur dioxide, and ingredients such as honey wine and spices can be added;
(5) Other types of fruit in the production of provisions (such as citrus peel, geranium leaves can be used to produce jelly, strawberry, raspberry, currant, red currant and plum jam jelly, beetroot juice can be added, etc.).
