On 1 February 2024, the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) of the United Kingdom (UK) revised the risk category list for imported food of animal origin, which will be implemented on 30 April 2024. The main element is the revision of the risk category summary table, where the medium-risk product is an aquatic species associated with histamine, by replacing "Histamine (e.g. Scombroid)" with "Histamine (Scombroid, Anchovy, Herring, Dolphinfish, Porcupine or Trevally)".
