In order to further standardise the supervision and management of health food labelling, to help consumers more easily distinguish health foods from general foods and medicines, State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR) issued the Notice on Regulations on the Management of Health Food Labelling (Draft for Comment) according to the Food Safety Law of the People's Republic of China, Measures on the Registration and Filing of Health Foods and other laws and regulations. The deadline for opinions and comments is February 28, 2019.

3. These regulations shall come into force on January 1, 2020. Health foods produced before January 1, 2020 could be sold until the end of the shelf life.
