On July 11, 2019, National Health Commission (NHC) issued an announcement that the safety assessment of 11 novel food additives and 8 new varieties of food related products has been reviewed and approved according to the Food Safety Law.
The detailed information of 8 new varieties of food-related products are as follows:
1. Expanded usage of additives for food contact materials and products
(1) Sodium acetate
(2) Phosphoric acid
(3) Potassium dihydrogen phosphate
2. New varieties of additives for food contact materials and products
(1) Oxirane, (chloromethyl)-, polymer with 4,4'-methylenebis [2,6-dimethylphenol]
3. New varieties of resin for food contact materials and products
(1) Formaldehyde, polymer with 2-methylphenol, 3-methylphenol, 4-methylphenol, butyl ether
(2) Vinyl chloride- vinyl acetate- maleic acid terpolymer
(3) 1,4-cyclohexamedimethanol polymer with trimethylol propane, neopentyl glycol, adipic acid, isophthalic acid and maleic anhydride
(4) Formaldehyde, polymer with 4,4'-(1-methylethylidene)bis[phenol]
