According to Deputy Director of the Economic Research Institute of Agriculture of Ukraine, the Ukrainian Academy of Agricultural Sciences communications Nikolai Pugachev, from January to June 2019, the Ukrainian agricultural export volume increased nearly 20% over the last year, reaching 10.3 billion US dollars, accounting for 42% of all Ukrainian exports.

n and the Commo
nwealth of Independent States. In the first half of 2019, exports to the above-mentio
ned regions accounted for 97% of all agricultural exports. Among them, the biggest change was the small-scale decline in exports to the CIS countries while an increase in agricultural exports to EU, Asian and African countries.
In the first half of 2019, China became the country that im
ported the most agricultural products from Ukraine, with an im
port value of 923 million US dollars (China ranked 3rd place in the same period last year). The second is Egypt, with an im
port value of $837 million. India im
ported 814 million US dollars of agricultural products, ranking third. The other top ten countries were Turkey ($787 million), the Netherlands ($732 million), Spain ($380 million), Poland ($353 million), Belarus ($320 million) and Germany ($291 million).
