A company's sunflower seeds oil was labelled with ‘Non-GMO’ and other related propaganda terms in the outer package. At present, there has no genetically modified sunflower seeds and their products on the market. Therefore, it was illegal to claim ‘non-GMO’ for sunflower seeds oil.

The court ordered the company to stop the illegal activities and imposed a fine of RMB 150,000.
