Guangdong Jiuji Bio-tech Co., Ltd published advertisement of health food on its WeChat public account, involving the content of “Prevention of tumors, anti-bacterial, anti-viral, anti-tumor, liver protection, detoxification, and reducing blood glucose level” and other wordings indicating disease prevention and treatment functions.

The action violated the provision of Article 18 (2) of the Advertising Law.

According to the provision of Article 58 (1) of the Advertising Law, the Guangzhou Huangpu Administration for Market Regulation imposed an administrative penalty, ordering the party to stop publishing illegal advertisements and imposing a fine of RMB 45,000 in March, 2019.
