CFSA | Solicited Public Opinions on 9 Novel Food Additives (October 15)


On October 15, 2019, China National Centre for Food Safety Risk Assessment (CFSA) solicited public opinions on 9 novel food additives, including 4 enzyme preparations for food industry, 1 Food fortifier and 4 food additives with expanded usage. 

The deadline for public opinions is November 12, 2019.



CFSA | Solicited Public Opinions on 5 New Varieties of Food Related Products (October 15)


On October 15, 2019, China National Centre for Food Safety Risk Assessment (CFSA) solicited public opinions on 5 new varieties of food related products, including 1 expanded usage of additive for food contact materials and products, 2 new varieties of additives for food contact materials and products and 2 new varieties of resin for food contact materials and products.


The deadline for solicitation is November 12, 2019.


Release of National Food Safety Standard Maximum Residue Limits of Veterinary Drugs in Food (GB 31650-2019, replacing the corresponding part of the Ministry of Agriculture Announcement No. 235) and 9 national food safety standards for veterinary drug residue detection methods



On October 12, 2019, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs issued the National Food Safety Standard Maximum Residue Limits of Veterinary Drugs in Food (GB 31650-2019) and 9 references to national food safety standards for veterinary drug residue detection methods, which will be formally implemented on April 1, 2020. The final version shall be subject to the officially published version.


MOA | Solicited Public Opinions on Maximum Residue Limits of Pesticides (Draft) ([2019] No. 125)



According to the Food Safety Law of the People's Republic of China and the Agricultural Product Quality and Safety Law of the People's Republic of China and other relevant regulations, on October 17, 2019, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs issued a letter on soliciting public opinions on the maximum residue limit of pesticides. The Maximum Residue Limits of 72 Kinds of Pesticides in Foods (Draft for Comment) was drafted and is now open for comments.


The deadline for comments is November 16, 2019.
