Europol and Interpol have announced a joint operation, OPSON 2020, aimed at combating international counterfeiting and substandard food and drink. In 2020, the "Opson 2020" action cracked down on 19 illegal food production organizations. This action collected 320 tons of smuggled and substandard dairy products and seized 210 tons of cheese that did not meet the storage requirements on trademark labeling.
