In order to implement the "Food Safety Law" and its implementation regulations, and do a good job in the management of pesticide and veterinary drug residue standards in the food safety standard system, the National Health Commission and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs jointly revised the " Consultative Opinions on the Management of Pesticide and Veterinary Drug Residues in Food".

The " Consultative Opinions" mainly clarified that the National Food Safety Standard Review Committee is responsible for the review of national food safety standards. The National Food Safety Standard Review Committee established a professional committee for pesticide residues and veterinary drug residues in charge of pesticide residues and veterinary drug residue limits, inspection methods and Review of procedural standards. The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs is responsible for the establishment and daily management of pesticide residues and veterinary drug residues professional committees.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs proposed the pesticide residue standard plan and the veterinary drug residue standard plan, which were included in the national food safety standard plan and released in accordance with the prescribed procedures.
