On August 25, the General Administration of Customs of China jointed with the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs issued the "Announcement on preventing foot-and-mouth Disease from entering China from Mozambique", which shall come into force as of the date of promulgation. The main contents include the prohibition of the direct or indirect import of artiodactyl animals and related products from Mozambique and the prohibition of the Posting or carrying of artiodactyl animals and related products from Mozambique. Any discovery will be returned or destroyed. All artiodactyl animals and their products illegally intercepted from Mozambique by border control departments shall be destroyed under the supervision of the Customs.

        8月25日，海关总署联合农业农村部发布《关于防止莫桑比克口蹄疫传入我国的公告》，本公告自发布之日起实施。主要内容包括禁止直接或间接从莫桑比克输入偶蹄动物及其相关产品，禁止寄递或携带来自莫桑比克的偶蹄动物及其产品。一经发现一律作退回或销毁处理。对边防等部门截获的非法入境的来自莫桑比克的偶蹄动物及其产品，一律在海关的监督下作销毁处理等。
