★GACC | Notification on Phytosanitary Requirements for importing Dominican Fresh Avocados★

On August 28, the General Administration of Customs issued the Notification on Phytosanitary Requirements for importing Dominican Fresh Avocados. Since the date of this notification, it allows the import of fresh Dominican Avocados that meet the quarantine requirements.

★Introduction of Chinese food Category Systems★

When overseas manufacturers want to export food to China, they often confused the food category in China. Usually, except for the HS codes we are familiar with, we can refer to the definitions in some standards to determine, or combine the raw materials, processes, and eating methods of the product to determine. However, Chinese food category system is formulated based on the needs of different professional fields. Same food in different food category systems may be determined as different food, which we should pay attention to during distinguishing.

★GACC | Suspends Exports of Australian Beef Company to China★

On August 26, due to the detection of chloramphenicol in beef loin meat exported to China, which is banned in China and Australia, the General Administration of Customs suspended the export of Australian beef producer JOHN DEE WARWICK PTY LTD (registration number 243) to China. The defective product was destroyed and was not allowed to enter the country.
