With the “Regarding the safety supervision cooperation arrangement of Macau-made food exported to the Mainland” formally coming into effect, the General Administration of Customs and the Municipal Administration will jointly formulate a list of supervised varieties of foods manufactured in Macau. Facilitate customs clearance to help local companies expand the mainland market. The State General Administration of Customs has been vigorously supporting the work of ensuring the stability and safety of food supplied to Australia. The SAR Government is deeply grateful for this and will continue to strengthen communication and deepen exchanges and cooperation in the future.

According to the "Cooperative Arrangement", the General Administration of Customs and the Municipal Administration jointly formulated a list of supervised varieties of foods manufactured in Macau, and based on the mainland imported food safety supervision and sampling plan, formulate an annual monitoring plan for foods manufactured in Macau and exported to the mainland, and implement dynamic management .

The "Cooperative Arrangement" stipulates that the Municipal Department shall supervise the food companies and products under the cooperation project, and issue official health certificates for food manufactured in Macau that comply with the relevant food laws, regulations and standards of the Mainland, thereby reducing the risk of food scrapping due to non-compliance with customs clearance requirements , Which helps local companies reduce export costs. The Mainland Customs will take samples and release the foods that have no abnormalities in the annual inspection, which reduces the time required for inspection in the past. If an abnormal situation is found, the two parties will notify each other of monitoring information and jointly deal with it according to law.
