Foodmate News: On September 29, the South Korean Agriculture, Forestry and Livestock Quarantine Headquarters issued Announcement No. 2020-339, which intends to amend part of the "Regulations on import and Export Plant Quarantine and Disinfection Treatment". The main contents are as follows:

1. Formulate official low-temperature disinfection standards and treatment procedures for plant epidemic prevention.

2. Establish detailed standards for facilities for dry heat treatment such as seeds.

3. Formulate applications for disinfection treatment standards and exemptions for consideration.

The deadline for soliciting opinions above is until October 19, 2020.
