US | Plan to revise bean inspection standards
On September 29, 2020, the US Federal Register issued Circulars 2020-21434, 2020-21435, and 20202-1436, which are consultation documents for the US Department of Agriculture to revise inspection standards for beans. The main contents of this revision include:
1. Add the inspection method for broken peas in peas;
2. Revise the definition of quality level;
3. In addition to the quarantine indicators and quarantine methods for weevil in black beans, and revise the regulations on product quality levels.
The feedback period for the revised comments ends 30 days after the publication of the communique.
