South Korea releases "Hazardous Substances Compendium Information"
On November 16, Korea Food and Drug Safety Department (MFDS) published the news that: In order to facilitate understanding of Korean nationals in life easily exposed cadmium, polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), phthalates and other harmful material quality of safety information, provide a "Hazardous Substances Compendium Information".
The "Hazardous Substances Compendium Information" includes 10 hazardous substances, such as cadmium, polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), bisphenol A, phthalates, lead, mercury, urethane, Furan, benzene, 3-monochloro-1,2-propanediol (3-MCPD), which can be exposed in daily life. Moreover, it shows the main sources of exposure, exposure route, exposure level in life, Korea domestic management status, methods to reduce exposure, related food consumption reminders and correct living habits.
