South Korea released the draft of the Specific Guidelines for import Risk Assessment of Designated Quarantine Objects
On November 17, the Korean Agriculture, Forestry and Livestock Quarantine Headquarters issued Announcement No. 2020-361, which intends to amend part of the "Specific Guidelines for import Risk Assessment of Designated Quarantine Objects". The main contents are as follows:
1. In order to certify the regionalization of African swine fever (AFS) and implement import risk assessment, develop necessary assessment indicators and systematize the import risk assessment process and implementation methods.
2. The basis for specific matters can be added when the questionnaire related to regionalization certification is formulated and sent to the exporting country.
3. Specify the content of the livestock health questionnaire related to regional certification and modify the sentence.
The deadline for soliciting opinions above is until December 7, 2020.
