The court held that the addition of ganoderma extract and cordyceps sinensis extract to the goods violated the "Approval of the Ministry of Health on Common Food Issues" and the "Notice on the Not Using Cordyceps as Common Food Ingredients" by the Food Production Supervision Department of the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine. The goods involved in the case did not meet food safety, so the court support the plaintiff's claim refund payment and ten times compensation claims according to the laws and regulations.
