South Korea will implement a 70% organic certification system
November 30, according to Korean media reports, the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, Livestock and Food of South Korea will amend the "Regulations for the implementation of laws related to the management and support of environmentally friendly agriculture and fishery cultivation and organic food" on December 1 to implement 70% organic certification System and certification system for processed food without pesticide raw materials.
The current regulations stipulate that more than 95% of the raw materials of organic agricultural products and livestock products can be used to obtain the organic processed food certification. After the amendment of the regulations, the use of more than 70% of the organic agricultural products and livestock product raw materials can also be certified.
In addition, the use of pesticide-free agricultural products as raw materials, or the mixed production, processing, and circulation of organic food and pesticide-free agricultural products can be certified as processed foods without pesticide raw materials.
