Finland receives 3 million euros allocation to promote meat exports to China
The Helsinki Times reported on January 10 that the European Union has allocated 3 million euros to Finland to fund a project that will promote the export of meat produced in Europe and Finland to cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, Zhengzhou and Chongqing in China. The project will focus on the safety, traceability and good taste of pork and poultry. These pork and poultry are produced in high quality and are very popular in China. Ruokatieto Yhdistysry, a Finnish non-profit association that promotes Finnish food production and culture, will implement the project. The association will also implement the project with two companies, HKScan (Finnish meat food and product manufacturer) and Atria (Finnish food industry company), both of which currently export pork to China.
