On January 27,2021, the General Administration of Customs of China issued a "Customs Clearance Notice for the Winter Olympics and Paralympics Games Beijing 2022". the notice stipulates that the Beijing Customs shall handle the relevant procedures of the temporary registration code for the Beijing Winter Olympics Organizing Committee.

For temporarily imported materials for the Beijing Winter Olympics, the Beijing Winter Olympics Organizing Committee will provide the Beijing Customs with a bank guarantee for tax guarantee. Foreign delegations or customs brokerage companies hold the "2022 Beijing Winter Olympics and Paralympics Games import Material Certification Letter" (hereinafter referred to as "Certification Letter") and "The List of imported Materials for 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics and Paralympic Games (hereinafter referred to as the "List of Materials") to handle customs clearance procedures and is exempt from submitting tax guarantees to the customs.

After the port customs quarantine at the port, imported foods (including health foods), cosmetics, animals, plants and their products will be sealed on the port and be transported to Beijing Customs or Shijiazhuang Customs designated venue for supervision. Beijing Customs or Shijiazhuang Customs is responsible for inspection and follow-up supervision.

For food and cosmetics exclusively for the personal use of overseas delegations, Chinese labels and Chinese signs are exempted.

This notice applies to the Beijing Winter Olympics and its preparation period (from February 1, 2021 to March 13, 2023).
