Taiwan region issued amendments to "Chocolate Product Name and Labeling Regulations"
On March 2, 2021, the Food and Drug Administration of Taiwan’s Ministry of Health and Welfare issued the Notice No. 1091301928 to amend the "Regulations on the Name and Labeling of Chocolate". The main points of the amendment are as follows:
1. The original third point is moved to the second point, and the text of the regulations will be revised as appropriate. (The second point of the amendment)
2. The original fourth point is moved to the third point, and the text of the regulations will be revised as appropriate. (The third point of the amendment)
3. To update the labeling specifications for stuffed chocolate. (The fourth point of the amendment regulations)
4. Delete the original fifth generation cocoa butter chocolate, and add the labeling specifications for semi-solid or liquid chocolate products. (The fifth point of the amendment)
