On March 3, 2021, the Singapore Food Authority (SFA) announced that it will impose temporary restrictions on the import of poultry and products from areas affected by the avian influenza epidemic in the Netherlands.

Due to the outbreak of H5N8 highly pathogenic avian influenza in the town of St. Udenrode in North Brabant province. From February 20, 2021, temporary restrictions on the import of poultry and their products within 10 kilometers of the outbreak in the town of St. Udenrode in North Brabant will be imposed. Poultry products that meet the requirements of the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE) for avian influenza virus inactivation and heat treatment will not be affected by import restrictions.

Poultry products exported from the town of St. Udenrode in North Brabant before February 20, 2021 and slaughtered before January 30, 2021 will continue to be accepted for import.
