South Korea investigated and punished 7 infant food manufacturers that violated the Food Sanitation Law

 
On March 10, 2021, Korea Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) published the news that: From February 17 to February 23, MFDS inspected 574 manufacturers of snacks and beverages that produce complementary foods for infants and young children, and investigated and dealt with 7 companies that violated the Food Sanitation Law.

The main violations include: failure to implement self-quality inspection (2 companies), storage of expired products for the purpose of cooking (1 company), failure to write production logs (1 company), violation of storage standards (1 company), failure to implement physical examination (1 company), not wearing a sanitary cap (1 company), etc.

In addition, MFDS also inspected 131 infant foods and destroyed 2 products with excessive bacterial counts.
