Multiple avian influenza outbreaks in Poland, Singapore imposes temporary ban on poultry products
On March 31, 2021, the Singapore Food Authority (SFA) announced that due to the multiple outbreaks of avian influenza in Poland, Singapore will impose a temporary ban on its poultry products.
Due to H5N8 highly pathogenic avian influenza outbreak in Gorlice and Novosunchi counties in the Lesser Poland Province, the Kalisz, Myenzihud and Oschiszów counties in the Greater Poland Province, the Zhuroming and Silesian counties in the Masovian Province. Singapore will impose temporary restrictions on the import of poultry and its products within 10 kilometers of the affected area. Poultry products that meet the requirements of the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE) for avian influenza virus inactivation and heat treatment will not be affected by import restrictions.
