Japan revises the implementation rules of the Food Sanitation Law and food additive specifications


On March 31, 2021, the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare of Japan issued Notice No. 2 of Sang Shifa 0331 to amend the "Detailed Rules for the Implementation of the Food Sanitation Law" and the "Specifications and Standards for Food and Additives". Modifications include:

1. Add allulose to the list of permitted additives, which will be implemented immediately.

2. Revise the residue standards of six pesticides and veterinary drugs including chloropicrin, and some of the revised contents are as follows:
