On April 12, China Natio
nal Center for Food Safety Risk Assessment solicited opinions on 9 new varieties of food additives and the deadline was May 7, 2021. Among them, there are 3 new varieties of food industry enzyme preparations including protease and glutamine transaminase, 1 new varieties of food spices, African arrowroot extract, and 5 food additives applications for expanding the scope and amount of use such as Advantame. The maximum use amount of Advantame as a sweetener in carbo
nated beverages is 0.006 g/kg; the maximum use amount of glutamine transaminase as a stabilizing and coagulant in flavored fermented milk and uncured cheese is 0.3 g/kg; paprika as a coloring agent in the prefabricated meat products are used in appropriate amounts according to production needs.
