The U.S. Passes the Food Allergy Safety Research Act

 
On April 14, 2021, the US House of Representatives passed the Food Allergy Safety, Treatment, Education and Research (FASTER) Act.

There are more than 1.5 million people in the United States who are allergic to sesame, but the current law does not require it to be marked on any product label. The Act requires the labeling of sesame on food packaging and prioritizes food allergy research.
