Brazil publishes grain food composition and labeling regulations
On April 15, 2021, the Brazilian National Health Supervision Agency (ANVISA) published number RDCNo493 regulations "Cereal Food Ingredients and Labeling Regulations". The main content of the regulation includes the scope of application, product classification and definition, requirements for the ingredients of cereal-containing foods, and requirements for the labeling of different types of cereal foods (including labeling elements, fonts, font sizes, colors, ingredient labeling methods and labeling order, etc.).
The regulation was officially published in the official gazette on April 22, 2021, and became effective on the day of publication.
