Argentine President announced the suspension of beef exports for 30 days
The National News Agency of Argentina issued a news on May 17 to suspend beef exports for 30 days. The Argentine President pointed out that this measure was taken to curb the pressure on beef prices in the past two months. According to him, the reason for the price increase was the increase in consumption.
The proposal is based on an agreement signed between the government and the Exporters Alliance and other cold chain industry chambers of commerce. The agreement aims to maintain a plan to reduce high local demand until the end of this year, at a price lower than the market average.
