South Korea formulated "Imported Food Safety Management Certification Standard Operation Regulations"

 
On July 1, South Korea’s Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) issued Announcement No. 2021-58, which formulated the “imported Food Safety Management Certification Standard Operation Regulations” in accordance with the revision of the “imported Food Safety Management Special Act Implementation Rules”, the main contents of which are as follows:

1. Prescribe the applicable objects and conditions of HACCP for imported food.

2. Provision of certification applications, changes to certification items, and certification extensions for places where the imported food safety management certification standards are applicable.

3. Provisions on matters related to the investigation and evaluation of places where imported food safety management certification standards are used.
