Brazil issues supplementary regulations for the production and labeling of finished grape juice
On August 2, 2021, the Brazilian Ministério da Agricultura, Pecuária e Abastecimento (MAPA) issued Notice No. 346 through the Official Journal, namely "Regulations on the production and labeling of finished grape juice". The main content is:
1. Define the classification and definition of grape juice, wine and other products made from grapes;
2. Supplementary rules related to labeling;
3. The volume percentage of grape juice or grape pulp and the identification method of the added substances in the label;
4. The maximum weight of product packaging and the labeling requirements for registration information;
5. Transitional arrangement: products that have registered packaging and marking are allowed to change within one year. The sales period of label and packaging stock products purchased before the promulgation of this regulation is two years.
The regulations will be implemented from the date of promulgation.
