According to the Federal Register of US, on December 16, 2021, the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) issued regulation 2021-27179 to exempt the residue limit of α-terpineol.

According to the regulations, when α-terpineol is used as an inert component of pesticide preparation in pre-harvest crops and the content is 5% of the preparation, its residue limit is exempted.

This provision will take effect from December 16, 2021, and the application for objection or hearing shall be submitted before February 14, 2022.
