Australia will implement new requirements for the packaging of fruit exported to Australia

According to the latest notification from the Australian Quarantine Authority, in order to prevent the spread of the Drosophila suzukii with fruits exported to Australia, Australia has revised the aperture requirements for insect screens for packaging of table grapes and fruit have been revised. The original regulation "Cartons (packaging) with ventilation holes must be covered/sealed with gauze/screen with an aperture of no more than 1.6 mm" was revised to "Cartons (packaging) with ventilation holes must be covered/sealed with a gauze/screen with an aperture of no more than 0.98 mm", other packaging requirements remain unchanged.
