Ukrainian wheat export prices continued to fall last week, but at a slower pace, according to consultancy APK-Inform.
On Friday, Ukrainian aged wheat of 12.5% protein was quoted at FOB 360 to 390 USD per ton for April and May shipments , 5 USD less compared to the price a week ago. New wheat FOB quotation decreased 15-20 USD, reached 305-320 USD per ton for July & August shipments. Ukrainian wheat prices are still higher than Russian wheat prices.
The main bearish factors for the Ukrainian wheat market remain unchanged, said the report. But higher wheat prices in the European Union and the United States limited the decline in Ukraine's wheat prices.
Global wheat stocks for 2021/22 ending are expected to fall to their lowest level in the past five years, supported by the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict, a severe drought in Morocco and aggressive bidding by some wheat importers.
