The Singapore Food Agency(SFA) announced on 21 April 2022 that it has imposed temporary restrictions on imports of poultry and poultry products in the vicinity of the highly pathogenic avian influenza outbreak in Canada.

Singapore will impose temporary restrictions on imports of poultry and poultry products within 10 km of affected areas due to the highly pathogenic H5N1 avian influenza outbreak in 13 areas of Canada.  Poultry products that meet the heat treatment requirements of the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE) for inactivation of avian influenza viruses will not be affected by the import restrictions.

Poultry exported from the affected areas below will continue to be accepted for import if they meet the slaughter and export dates.
