Singapore has imposed temporary import restrictions on poultry and poultry products from Canadian HPAI affected areas

On 12 May 2022, the Singapore Food Agency (SFA) announced temporary restrictions on the import of poultry and poultry products in the vicinity of the highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) outbreak in Canada.

Singapore will impose temporary restrictions on imports of poultry and poultry products within 10 km of affected areas due to outbreaks of highly pathogenic H5N1 avian influenza in six regions in Canada.  Poultry products that meet the heat treatment requirements of the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE) for inactivation of avian influenza viruses will not be affected by the import restrictions.

Poultry exported from the affected areas below will continue to be accepted for import if they meet the slaughter and export dates.
