FSANZ intends to approve glucoamylase from genetically modified Aspergillus Niger as a processing aid

According to the Food Standard Australia and New Zealand (FSANZ) news, on 18 May 2022, the FSANZ issued notice 200-22, including A1252 application, applying for glucoamylase from genetically modified Aspergillus Niger as a processing aid.

According to the notice, the glucoamylase is used in the baking process, brewing process and starch processing.
