Russia issued the MOM in the Codex Alimentarius Commission: Eurpoean Coordination Committee

The European Coordination Committee of Codex Alimentarius Commission held a video conference on May 16-22, 2022.  
   
More than 120 representatives from European member states and international organizations attended the video conference, including experts from the Russian Consumer Right Protection and Public Welfare Supervision Bureau.  
   
Delegates studied and discussed topics of national and regional food quality and safety, cracking down on food adulteration and influence of outbreak of COVID-19 on risk management in different food production chain. All attendees from different countries agreed that the limit of the spread of antimicrobial resistance and the ban on the use of growth promoters in animal origin products still has the practical significance for all member countries.
   
Russia's Consumer Right Protection and Public Welfare Supervision Bureau said they needed to expand the list of banned veterinary drugs, especially growth promoters and antibiotics used as feed supplements rather than for therapeutic purposes.
