On June 15, 2022, the South Korean Food and Drug Administration (MFDS) released the detection method for ethyl acetate in coffee. The main contents include the scope of application, detection principle, detection equipment, reagent preparation and specific detection steps, etc. Ethyl acetate was extracted from coffee samples by using benzyl alcohol and detected by headspace gas chromatography mass spectrometer. The limit of quantification was 0.2mg/kg.
