Eight Chinese companies signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Tanzanian local enterprises on trade cooperation in food processing equipment through the East African Business and Supply Chain Center at the 46th Dar es Salaam International Trade Fair, Tanzanian newspaper The Citizen reported on July 12. Tanzanian companies will purchase wheat, sesame, rice, corn and other agricultural production and processing equipment from Chinese companies to expand their food production capacity and enhance their market competitiveness, the report said.
