On 15 July 2022, the Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ) has published the official Gazette of amendment No. 209 to the Code of Australian and New Zealand Food Standards. The main amendments include:

Annex 3 Characteristics and purity
 
Annex 26 Food produced with genetic technology
 
The applications for these amendments are as follows:
 
Application A1232 - Approval of drought tolerant wheat strain IND-00412-7 for food use
 
Application A1233 - Approval of 2 '-FL produced by transgenic E. coli K-12 for use in infant formula food
