The United States exempts residue limits for various fragrance components

On July 21, the US Environmental Protection Agency issued regulation 2022-15017 exempting residue limits for Various Fragrance Components, according to the Federal Register.
 
On the basis of the regulations, fragrances are exempt from residue limits when they are used as inert ingredients in antimicrobial pesticide preparations on food contact surfaces in public dining places, dairy processing facilities, and food processing equipment and appliances at concentrations not exceeding 100ppm.
 
This requirement took effect from July 21, 2022. Objections or requests for hearings must be filed by September 19, 2022.
