The US Department of Commerce has released the preliminary results of an anti-dumping administrative review of certain chilled warm water shrimp from India. The Commerce Department found that Indian shrimp may have been sold to the United States for "less than normal value" between Feb. 1, 2021, and Jan. 31, 2022.
The review covers 187 Indian shrimp producers and/or exporters. The ministry chose to conduct "individual reviews" of two companies, Mega Moda Pvt. Ltd. and NK Marine Exports LLP.
Megaa Moda Pvt. 's dumping margin was determined to be 7.92 percent and NK Marine Exports 1.43 percent.
For the other companies not selected for individual review, their weighted average dumping margin was 3.76 per cent.
The Southern Shrimp Alliance reported that these dumping margins were higher than in the previous review, when only one Indian shrimp exporter, LNSK Green House Agro Products LLP, was not found to be dumping, Another Indian shrimp exporter, Royal imports and Exports, was found to have a dumping margin of 3.01 percent and applied to 161 other Indian shrimp exporters.
