On March 30, 2023, the Ministry of Food and Drug of South Korea (MFDS) issued Notice No. 2023-25, revising part of the Regulations on Inspection of imported Health Functional Food. The main contents are as follows: The law stipulates that if a person voluntarily cancels (returns) the import declaration of a healthy functional food that has been selected as the subject of random sampling inspection, and makes a new import declaration, he or she must conduct random sampling inspection if there is no special reason.
