On June 2, 2023, according to the Official Journal of the European Union, on June 1, Europe issued Council Regulation (EU) 2023/1062, amending Regulation (EU) 2023/194, and determined that certain fish species applicable to EU waters in 2023 Fishing opportunities for certain species of fish species, as well as fishing opportunities for EU fishing vessels in certain non-EU waters, and determine fishing opportunities for certain deep-sea fish stocks in 2023 and 2024. Major revisions include:

(1) Annex I1B of Regulation (EU) 2023/194 as amended by the Annex to this Regulation. (EU) 2023/194 Annex IB amends the cod fishing regulations in Svalbard waters and other waters; revises the Greenland halibut fishing regulations in international waters; revises the red fish (Sebastes spp.) table 1 and 2 regulations in international waters.

(2) The Regulation shall enter into force on the date of its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union; it shall apply from 1 January 2023. The entire content of the Regulation is binding and directly applicable in all Member States.
