On 26 July 2023, the Australian Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry issued import requirements for noodles, which will be implemented from the date of publication. Main contents are as follows:

1. The import licence from the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry will not be required;

2. Product identification, invoice, description of the ingredients of imported products need to be provided;

3. The following must be shown in the manufacturer's declaration: proof of the egg content of the product (e.g. <10%), the manufacturer's name and address;

4. The product packaging must be clean.
