On August 31, 2023, the State Administration for Market Regulation, the National Health Commission, and the National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine also issued the "Catalogue of Health Functions Allowed for Health Food Claims - Non-nutrient Supplements (2023 Edition)" and supporting documents, which changed the types of health function from 27 to 24, adjusted the function claims, and clarified the transition period.
