On September 22, the General Administration of Customs of China issued Notice No. 122 of 2023, announcing that from now on, Egypt's fresh mangoes that meet the relevant requirements will be allowed to import.
The orchards, packaging plants, cold storage and heat treatment facilities of fresh mango exported to China shall be reviewed and filed by the Central Plant Quarantine Bureau of the Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation of the Arab Republic of Egypt (hereinafter referred to as the "Egyptian side"), and approved for registration by the General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China (hereinafter referred to as the "Chinese side"). Registration information includes name, address and registration number for accurate traceability of export products that do not comply with relevant regulations. The registration list shall be provided by the Egyptian side to the Chinese side before the annual export season. After the approval of the Chinese side, the Chinese side will publish the registration list on the official website.
At the same time, the announcement also detailed the relevant requirements for imports, including packaging requirements, quarantine treatment requirements, etc.
